The Executive Team members have extensive authority in their individual areas of responsibility and have the duty to develop Metso Outotec’s operations in line with the targets set by the Board of Directors and the President and CEO.
President and CEO
The President and CEO’s main task is to lead the daily operations of Metso Outotec with the assistance of the Metso Outotec Executive Team to secure the company’s success. The President and CEO is appointed – and, if necessary, dismissed – by the Board, and he reports to the Board about, e.g. Metso Outotec’s financial situation, business environment and other significant issues. The President and CEO prepares the matters on the agenda of the Board and its committees and implements their decisions. Additionally, the President and CEO acts as the Chair of the Metso Outotec Executive Team.
Metso Outotec Executive Team
The President and CEO and other members appointed by the Board on the President and CEO’s proposal constitute the Metso Outotec Executive Team. The Metso Outotec Executive Team assists the President and CEO in the preparation of matters, such as business plans, strategy, policies and other matters of joint importance.

The Metso Outotec Executive Team members report directly to the President and CEO, and their main task is to lead the daily operations of their respective businesses or corporate functions. The business area heads are responsible for the strategy, financial development and position, operational performance, operating environment development, customers and competitive situation of their respective business areas. They are also responsible for implementing group initiatives and policies and guidelines within the business areas, and for collaborating across business areas.
