Metso Outotec Sustainability
Sustainability means that we do things efficiently and responsibly in terms of the environment, people and the economy. The three dimensions are critical throughout our value chain, from research and development to the end product.

Sustainability a key driver for our operations

The solutions and services we provide play a key role in improving customers’ safety, energy efficiency and water resources management as well as minimizing waste and emissions in their operations.

People are our most valuable asset. Making sure that our people and people around us stay safe, healthy and they are treated with respect, is a starting point for our everyday business.

Safety at the core of everything we do

Metso Outotec is committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers and partners in all our operations. We always prioritize safety first in whatever we do, and this applies to the working environment and our products and services. Metso Outotec follows applicable legal requirements, regulations, highest safety standards and corporate policies.

We believe that world-class safety results from a combination of right attitude, right decisions and right actions. World-class safety is also a sign of quality. Safe businesses are productive businesses. Therefore, we are committed to safety at all levels of our business.

At the personal safety level we expect everyone to take action when they observe an unsafe situation or behavior, regardless of whether the worker is a manager, supervisor, experienced employee, new hire or contractor.

Product safety is interconnected with our business processes, focusing on the health, safety and environmental impacts at each phase of the product lifecycle. Our goal is to continuously innovate and improve, to be able to offer products that best fit our customers’ needs.

More information about our health, safety and environment work can be found in Metso’s and Outotec’s Sustainability reports.
