Outotec starts employee cooperation negotiations in Finland

As part of Outotec's global profitability improvement program targeting EUR 45 million savings in annual operating costs (announced on October 30, 2014), the company is analyzing the resourcing needs and restructuring opportunities in its operations in Finland. Outotec will start employee cooperation negotiations about possible reduction of workforce with the entire personnel in Finland.

The effects of the considered restructuring on different personnel groups and locations will be determined by mid December 2014. The estimated need for reductions in Finland is approximately 100 employees. The reduction measures will be realized in late 2014 and during the first half of 2015. In addition, temporary lay-offs may be used to achieve the targeted savings, depending on capacity utilization. Outotec employs approximately 1,400 persons in Finland.
