Outotec succeeded in Great Place to Work survey in Finland

OUTOTEC OYJ PRESS RELEASE, FEBRUARY 5, 2009 AT 11.30 AM

Outotec succeeded in Great Place to Work survey in Finland

Outotec's Espoo office was ranked third in the Great Place to Work 2009 survey in Finland in large companies' category. The survey was conducted for the seventh time by the Great Place to Work Institute in Finland. According to the survey, the best workplaces are more profitable, their employee turnover rate is lower and employees have less days of absence.

The survey is based on a global standard of a good place to work, resulting from 25 years of research. Finland's best workplaces are selected based primarily on the employees' opinions. Two thirds of the emphasis is given on the employee survey and one third on the company's management practices.

Outotec also received a special award for its comprehensive and successful recruitment concept.

"Together with our employees, we have defined a target culture and common principles for working to achieve it. We have worked for several years to improve atmosphere and well-being at work in both the Espoo office and our other offices in 21 countries. We are following the development by our own employee surveys and are continuously looking for ways to improve the working culture. Outotec's good business performance and success in the Great Place to Work 2009 survey in Finland clearly demonstrate that our work is bringing results," says Ari Jokilaakso, Senior Vice President - Human Resources.
