Outotec has received several orders for the supply of process technology and proprietary equipment from Chinese aluminum smelters and related industry. The total value of the orders is approximately EUR 24 million.

Three of the contracts are for the supply of rodshop technology and proprietary equipment for the primary aluminum industry. The largest delivery also includes process engineering and operational support for one year after the start-up. The fourth delivery is the supply of a vibro-compactor to make carbon electrodes used in the aluminum and steel industry. The deliveries take place in 2013 and include both local and offshore equipment supply.

"These recent orders demonstrate Outotec's technological leadership and competitiveness in China in the primary aluminum industry. We have a strong reputation as a solution provider of high capacity rodding shops, which meet the needs of increasingly large aluminum smelters", noted Outotec CEO Pertti Korhonen.
