Outotec to supply technology for a copper concentrator expansion in Iran

Outotec to supply technology for a copper concentrator expansion in Iran

Outotec has been awarded an order from an Italian company IRASCO for the supply of technology for National Iranian Copper Industries Company's copper concentrator expansion located in Sarcheshmeh in Iran. The contract value is nearly EUR 40 million.

Outotec's solution includes the design of grinding and thickening circuits, proprietary equipment supplies as well as installation supervision and training services. The deliveries are estimated to take place in 2012.

"Outotec has delivered sustainable technologies to Iran since 1970s, mainly for processing of iron ore and smelting of copper concentrates. Before making this contract effective, we have ascertained that we comply with all the current international trade rules and regulations concerning Iran", says Outotec's CEO Pertti Korhonen.
