Pertti Korhonen appointed new President and CEO of Outotec

PERTTI KORHONEN APPOINTED NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO OF OUTOTEC

The Board of Directors of Outotec has appointed Mr. Pertti Korhonen,
47, M. Sc. (Electronics Eng.), new President and Chief Executive
Officer of Outotec Oyj. Mr. Korhonen will join Outotec on September
1, 2009, serve as Chief Operating Officer as of October 1, 2009 and
assume the duties of CEO on January 1, 2010 from Tapani Järvinen who
will retire at the end of 2009.

Pertti Korhonen has graduated from the University of Oulu, Finland.
He started working for Nokia in 1987 where he held various management
positions in product development, technology, production, sourcing
and logistics for two decades. Mr. Korhonen served on Nokia's Group
Executive Board from 2002 to 2006 and worked as Chief Technology
Officer during 2004 - 2006.  In 2006, he assumed the duties of CEO of
Elektrobit, a company providing solutions, products and services for
automotive and wireless industries.
