How to join Metso?

Create a profile

Our job opportunities are visible in our open jobs. First, create a candidate account with your personal details. After submitting, you will receive an email requesting you to verify your email address

Apply

Once your account is created, you are ready to apply for the position of your interest or you can submit applications for several jobs. Apply by filling out the application form and inserting your cover letter and CV.

If you wish to have your application and CV visible to hiring managers and recruiters of other positions than the one you are applying for at the time, remember to tick a box giving a consent to share your information with other recruiters. Please note that all applications are managed through our recruitment system, and we cannot accept applications via e-mail

Leave an open application

In case there is no matching position available at the moment, you can create a candidate profile. In your candidate profile, you can specify your interests and other career aspirations. This way your details will be available for our recruiters and hiring managers when new roles become available. At any time you can login to your account and edit or update your information. Candidate profiles remain active in our recruitment tool for 12 months following the date of the most recent activity.

Activate job notifications

If you do not find an open job that interests you now, you can create a job notification to get notified of the new available positions of your interest. This is done in Job Management tab, by adding your notification criteria with key words.

Interview

After applications have been received, we review the applications and based on the applications invite the most suitable candidates to interviews.

Before an interview, prepare yourself by thinking what are your skills and expertise that you can offer for the role, team and company. Be prepared to present practical examples from your previous work (or study) history to demonstrate the experience or skills relevant for the position. Interview is a great opportunity for both parties to get to know each other and hear more about expectations of the both sides. It is a good idea to think about some questions you would like to ask during the interview.

You will usually meet a hiring manager and HR or recruitment partner in the first interview. You may also meet other future colleagues during the interview process. There may be several interview rounds depending on the position you are interviewed for.

Video interviews and assessment tools may be part of the interview process. The details of the recruitment process are always decided based on the specific job requirements and needs.

Recruitment decision

We aim to make a final decision and communicate about it as quickly as possible. The decision is based on all information gathered during the recruitment process such as skills and expertise, motivation and cultural fit. We inform all candidates about the next steps, progress and the final decision.
