Message from our Smelting VP

Dear Smelting customers,

Since the previous Smelting newsletter, quite a lot has happened. In July, we merged with another industry leader in minerals processing and became Metso Outotec. At the same time, we all had to adjust to a new situation due to the pandemic. We’ve experimented and successfully implemented virtual ways of meeting and working with our customers, new colleagues and external partners.

Smelting operates as part of the Metals business area in Metso Outotec. Our key teams in Smelting remain the same as before, and this also applies to most of your sales and service contacts. Within the new company, we’ve got quite a few new colleagues with complementary fields of expertise, and we’ve already started brainstorming and developing new ideas with them for the benefit of our customers.

In Smelting, we are continuing to focus on developing and providing safe and fully automated zero-emission technology that maximizes ROI throughout the lifecycle of your smelter.

If you’d like to have a discussion about how to upgrade your process or start a new project around a new smelting plant for any metal, we are within easy reach to exchange ideas, draw tentative flowsheets, and make offers. This also applies to any service needs your plant may have. Our target is to help you produce the cleanest possible end product, as sustainably and economically as possible.
